Plant Encounter: Valerian

Join us for an immersive afternoon to study Valeriana officinalis and their medicine.

We start with an overview of the specific properties and historical uses of Valerian and their gift of medicine. We sample preparations made from different parts of the plant, then head to the gardens. With open hands and open mind, we engage our whole body to meet the plant, activating our observation skills and our heart memory, taking time for silent attunement. We then learn how to harvest sustainably and deepen our knowledge by creating a preparation with Valerian.

Herbal samples, identification tips and basics of herbal preparation will all be part of this special 4-hour journey.

Where? At the Herbal Hearth, our off-grid home and venue located in Mount Lorne.
Everything is included. All or most of the activities will be held outdoors.
